Paragliding in Tyrol. The Markbachjoch is the hotspot of paragliders and aviation athletes. The sky above Niederau is regularly dotted with many paragliding screens. The flight and wind conditions for air sports are particularly suitable here, because the high valley is well protected from strong winds. The starting point for paragliding in the Wildschönau is located next to the mountain station of the Markbachjoch gondola, which takes the aviation sportsmen from mid-May to October. The Paragleit Mountain is 1500 meters away. The ideal place for spectators is in the adjacent Alm. The landing site is located near the center of Niederau at 828 meters.
